How we keep people safe, how you can raise a concern, and the standards we hold ourselves to.
Report a concern
If you are worried about the safety of a child or adult, or about the conduct of anyone connected to CLADHO, tell us. Your report will be treated confidentially.
If someone is in immediate danger, call the Rwanda National Police emergency line on 112 first.
Safeguarding
CLADHO is committed to protecting children and adults who come into contact with our staff, members, volunteers, partners and programs from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH) and any other form of harm.
- The best interests of the child come first in everything we do.
- We have zero tolerance for sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment.
- Every concern is taken seriously, handled confidentially and responded to with the survivor's safety and wishes at the center.
- Staff, volunteers, members and partners are expected to uphold these standards and to report concerns.
Complaints & Feedback
Citizens, children, partners and members can give feedback or make a complaint about our work, our programs or the conduct of anyone representing CLADHO.
- Use the online form, email or phone, or visit our office in Kigali.
- We will acknowledge your complaint and tell you how it will be handled.
- Feedback helps us improve our programs; we welcome it at any time.
Whistleblowing
Report suspected fraud, corruption, misuse of funds or other serious misconduct involving CLADHO, its staff or its partners.
- Reports are handled confidentially and shared only with those who need to act on them.
- You do not have to give your name, although it helps us follow up.
- No one will face retaliation for raising a concern in good faith.
Privacy
When you contact us, apply for membership or offer support, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, organization, email address, phone number and message.
- We use this information only to respond to you and manage your request.
- We do not sell or share your personal information for marketing.
- Access to submissions is restricted to authorized CLADHO staff.
- Contact us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
Code of Conduct
Everyone who works with or represents CLADHO is expected to act in line with our values.
- Respect the rights, dignity and diversity of every person.
- Act with integrity, honesty and transparency, and avoid conflicts of interest.
- Protect children and vulnerable adults, and report any concern.
- Never offer, request or accept bribes or improper benefits.
- Respect confidentiality and use resources only for their intended purpose.
